The first impression has 3 different scenes with no obvious connection - a young Asian boy hiding in a room at a newsagents whilst 2 men threaten his father - Lizzie who is leaving her husband and young son in the Lake District to return to Leeds University in order to finish her degree - Emma in Bristol who has been married for 15 years , works for a bakery and is having panic attacks. I am intrigued. Definitely need to read the rest of this book.
