This is a fantasy story set in the present day. The main characters Jaz and Becky are introduced well. Within the book you get to experience the story from multiple points of view. I think that this helps because you find out more details that help you piece together the identity of who is Icarus and why is he here with an interest in becky. There are a few plot twists and the end was not how I expected but was still enjoyable despite this.
The front over of the book is well illustrated and I appreciated that it is a hardback. There is an added blue piece of elastic attached down the right had side of the book to keep your page or to keep the book closed. I think that this is a nice, unique feature.
