It wasn’t at all what I was expecting, it was very much a “marmite” book, there were plenty of times when I was confused and didn’t have a clue what was going on, despite this I couldn’t put it down. One thing I found hard was that despite it being told from multiple perspectives, every voice sounded the same. The voice and writing style for each character never changed and it was hard at times to remember whose perspective you were reading at any given time. More often than not characters felt more two dimensional and it was hard for me to relate to anyone throughout. I’m not sure sure how to fully explain how so much did make sense and yet still had me hooked. A full review will be going up on my blog in the next week or so.
