A historical-fiction novel that has all the signs of secrecy, scandal and intrigue in a war and post-war climate. I gleaned from its first pages, that the focus will settle heavily upon the characters and the relationships as they flourish or are marred by the circumstances they find themselves in. And, I'm incredibly curious to see how this ends. Purposeful writing, with a clear direction: I suspect I'll be a big fan of this one!
