Even though I haven't read the first two books in this series by Rory clements, its very easy to understand whats happening in Nemesis. I wanted to read this first look because I really enjoy books with this topic, and it wasn't a disappointment. First off Clements has a great way of describing things so you can clearly picture the story happening as you read. When the story starts right off the bat you get the notion that Marfields prefers his younger son Marcus who he doesn't seem to find any faults in. However you get the idea that marfields wife is upset about something because when marfield is moved to tears by his sons singing, she is emotionless.

The story then moves on to August 1939. At the start it is a little choppy, going between a few people and scenes, but as you read further on you start to settle into the story and get to know the characters.

Marcus is obviously older as time has passed, and wilde and Talbot are informed that he is in need of help so they go to the concentration camp where he is being held. He has been shot and even though they are told its by a local they believe its by one of the guards. The conditions at the camp are shocking.
The extract ends with a woman watching them at the camp, she has a rifle but even though from the text you are made to believe she wants them dead there is a possibility she may want to help them, but that's just a guess.
Overall the story is very well told and I cant wait for it to be released on the 24th.
