I have never read any spy thrillers as I did not think that I would enjoy them. But after winning Nemessis I have completely changed my mind. There was nothing that I could compare this story with, but Rory Clements (author) has set my standards high.
This is a fast moving spy thriller that grips you from the outset. The setting of the story is at the beginning of WWII, professor Tom Wilde is on holiday in France when he discovers his brilliant student Marcus Marfield who disappeared two years ago to fight in Spain, imprisoned in a camp near the Pyrenees. Tom Wilde was able to secure his release just as German tanks enter Poland.
The characters are well described and the story is excellency written. Would have no hesitation in recommending this book
