I am really enjoying this book. I haven't yet finished it, but I can't imagine it will be too long. The first impression really intrigued me from the go, and this is my type of book. Rory Clements is a new writer to me, and I believe this is a book from a series of others, but it still works as a stand alone text.
A lot of research has clearly gone into creating that WW2 setting, and the different views and perspectives of the characters. The characters are realistic and the moral dilemnas are thoroughly developed. The setting of a breaking war world creates a fast-paced and enjoyable read.
I would definitely be interested in reading other texts by this author, and the other stories around the character of Tom.
