I was intrigued after reading the first look but unfortunately it turned out this this book wasn't for me. I can say that it was well written but I didn't connect to the main character and found him to be a bit unbelievable. The story itself was fine and kept good pace but I just couldn't get past my dislike of Professor Tom Wilde.
It's also worth pointing out that it's the third in the 'Tom Wilde' serial so I am unsure if I would have liked it more had I read the previous books first.
