I wanted to read this book based on the synopsis alone - working as I do in the court environment, this really piqued my fancy. A very heavy subject to cover, but WOW, the opening line of this book lays it all out there from the outset. Rather than treading gently round the issue, the opening line is 'I am girl X and I was raped'. What a shocker of an opening line! I feel uneasy saying that I am 'looking forward' to finding out what happens, given that the subject material is so heavy and raw; perhaps the best way to explain it is that I am intrigued to find out what unfolds.
