No nonsense discussion of a topical issue. Girl X was raped. She's not going to tip-toe around it. Unfortunately, the rape was only the beginning of her ordeal. Now she's got to face the court system. If she wants to learn more about the boy who once gave her a heart shaped locket, she risks jeopardizing the case.

The treatment of rape by the justice system is an important topical issue. Where lots of recent books about feminist issues come at issues sideways, No Shame tackles the problem straight on. It is clear from the first sentence what the story is about.

The big question is how guilty is Henry Connaught? He didn't rape Girl X, but did he make it possible for his brother to do so?

A great novel for people who like straight exploration of social issues. Def. got a strong emotional heart.
