Stacey had everything to look forward to; falling in love, university, a career. She even met someone who may provide the love bit, Harry. One night it all went wrong when Harry's brother Marty raped her and sent her away with taxi fare as though that made it all okay.

Rather than bottle up the hurt and violation Stacey reports the rape and now the trial is coming up and she has to face not ony the man who violated her but his brother who she still had some semblance of feeling for. She has seen Harry recently, maybe even been a little bit of a stalker and he looks bad. In fact, on the outside he looks worse than her and she cannot help but feel for him.

Told with a distinctive voice this book is immersive from the first page and by the end of the second you feel that you know Stacey. The age of the protagonists is late teens and, in theory, that means this is aimed at a YA market. However, this book has the opportunity to be much more than that and to cross over seamlessly into adult fiction.
