This one jumps in feet first with traumatic circumstances introduced from page one - it sounds like there will be more than meets the eye as the young victim narrates her story.

From what I've read, the writing just get on with things without any unnecessary embellishment. I'm particularly intrigued by the emotional detachment as it makes me want to explore things further.

While the cover IS striking is doesn't give much away. To be honest it was the synopsis that convinced me to experience a taster of this book, and I'm glad I did, as I remain as curious as I was before I read the first impression.

It feels like a book that could take a twisty path and it would be good to discover the route it takes.
