I whole-heartedly enjoyed this book. It follows the story of Stacey Woods as she goes through the court ordeal after being raped. I felt like I could feel Stacey's pain as she went through stages of feeling guilt and shame. The author highlights the fact that it is important to stand up and use your voice against injustices, even if the final verdict may not be what you wished for.
I enjoyed the fact that Stacey was never alone. She always had her wonderful support system, made up of her best friend, her parents and her sister, which made this, otherwise emotional and saddening story into something more heart warming. The author, Anne Cassidy, does an amazing job of pulling you in, creating a picture and then leaving you emotionally drained. I hope this book gives other victims hope, and inspires them to stand up for themselves. Would definitely recommend!
