From reading the blurb, I knew that this book was going to be slightly distressing but educational for me as a teenage girl.

I really connected with the main character, Stacey, from the get go for a number of reasons: she is a 17 year old girl, she has a part time job and teachers are constantly putting her under pressure to consider her future and colleges, I have all of these things in common with her. These similarities helped me to see things from Stacey's point of view.

The story of Stacey, Harry and Marty Connaught is not a pleasant one. Stacey fell for Harry the first day they met when Harry walked into a café where Stacey was sketching and seemed interested in her and her life. Stacey jumps at the opportunity to be noticed and go out with this handsome teenager but he's not as he seems, and this has consequences for Stacey.

The story was great and I loved how much support Stacey had throughout the court case against Marty Connaught for raping her. Although the ending was not quite what i wanted for Stacey, I know in legal ways it is a realistic one.

I would highly recommend this short book but to people over the age of 16.
