This isn't aimed at my demographic but I read YA books now and then for quick, easy reads, sharing them with my teen daughter.
I've read Looking for JJ by the same author, which was a great book, so I was a little disappointed by this..
It's an important, difficult subject matter and it's handled sensitively, but I found the characterisation really let this down..... there are a lot of cliches and the book seemed too 'slight' to really do the story justice.
These are all criticisms I'm levelling at the book from the perspective of a 45-year-old woman, and as I say, that's not who this book is aimed at...within the teen market I'm sure this book will be a huge success, and hopefully help and give insight to it's readers.
