This book raises the very difficult and emotionally complex issue of rape. The book was well written to lead the reader through this story and the law proceedings. This book is written in an excellent way that shows the fustrations of a woman in this situation. The twist of the woman not winning the case was a difficult one as the reader knows that this man should indeed be procecuted and he would rape other girls if released. Therefore the ending of when Abbie the policewoman let Stacey know that three more woman had come forward and therefore the rapist had been arrested and will definitely be sent to prison was a very satisfying way to end this emotional story. I look forward to reading other work from Anne Cassidy.
