The late 1930's were a curious time in our history, some in this country were well aware of what was inevitable, but most didn't. Some also had a feeling that momentous events were about to occur and fearing the worst, enjoyed themselves to the utmost by drinking and partying. Behind all this is the race for the atomic bomb was developing around in the world in Russia, USA, Germany and of course in Britain at the Cavendish Research Laboratory in Cambridge, which had been probably the world leaders in this field. This book looks to bring this history into a historical spy novel, which will hopefully capture the imagination and give a better understanding, not the science, but of the politics and passions of the time.
