I was pretty sure based on the blurb and cover that this would not be an enjoyable book for me but I decided to give the 'First Look' a read anyway. I think this is a well written historical fiction with lots of drama but it did not intrigue me enough personally to want to read the full book.
I also really dislike the colour choices for the cover and the main focus being a large black emblem. The cover would definitely make me overlook the book in a store.
