The plot, while being interesting, and something I would like to read, is incredibly difficult to follow when the story is jumping from person to person every few paragraphs, often with no transition. I can guess that each of these characters is returned to in more depth further into the book, but as a first impression it just feels difficult to grasp what's really going on and actually connect with the characters enough to really get into the book.
However I would be interested in continuing to read, as the threat of an atomic bomb, and the race to create one, is certainly quite an exciting topic to write about.
