Nucleus by Rory Clement is the follow up to the first Professor Tom Wilde book Corpus and is an excellent book.
Nucleus is set in 1939 just before the outbreak of World War Two and features Spies, Germans, Americans, Nazis, the IRA, MI5, MI6 and Special Branch amongst others.
The book reflects the time and age test it is set in but keeps the story moving along at a good pace.
The author, who also wrote an Elizabethan set series of books, has clearly undertaken a lot of research and this comes across well in the book without being too obtrusive.
Overall this is an excellent book and one that I would fully recommend. Let's hope that the rest of the books I read this year are as good!!
