I went into this book a bit wary of the fact that I haven’t read the first book in the series and that this one might follow on from that. However I felt that the book seamlessly introduced the characters, relationships and pre-existing plot lines which was greatly appreciated! I enjoyed this book tremendously - I enjoyed that there were multiple stories interweaving with each other and the twists and turns kept me turning the pages! I felt that the relationships between characters were realistic and I went on the journey with Tom working out who to trust and who not to! Plus, I learnt so much about pre-war Britain and the relationship between the IRA and Nazi Germany - really fascinating. I’m definitely going to buy the first book in the series because I really enjoyed this one!
