Upon looking at the cover of this book I initially thought it was an average summer romance story but soon realised it was a lot more than just that. From the first page we are introduced to the narrator (Milly) and her two sisters, who have just lost her father. We immediately feel sympathy for the family, but particularly Milly who is struggling to cope with his death and has shut her self away from her friends. The family soon leave for Rome for their Aunts wedding. The summer romance part becomes obvious when we are introduced to Luke who is Milly’s cousins friend and someone who she seems to have a big crush on! I really loved the sample and I am thoroughly considering reading the rest of this promising story!
