The start of the novel, and the character of Tiffany put me off a little. She seemed very shallow, vacuous and minorly irritating. Having read more about her character in the dialogues between her brothers and in Solomon's thoughts about her, it is clear that there is more to her than this suggested. I enjoyed the rest of the story far more. I felt Solomon was a likeable character and I would like to find more about why this has happened and what has happened and whether there will be a positive resolution to it all.
