So far, the best of the First Impression is the Brain Pool - I could have happily read about them devising questions for fiendishly difficult quizzes (bit like the Q.I. Elves with superiority issues). Other than that nothing really gripped me about this once we were past Tiffany meeting her blind date secured via an online app. So much so I actually wandered off and checked my email, read a bit more, set up a direct debit online and then finished it. So, hardly gripping stuff.

There are so many books being released in this genre at the moment and I have read so many (both old and new) that they are, sadly, all beginning to blur together and need some unique hook to settle themselves on to keep me reading. As enticing as the blurb is it has, thus far, failed to deliver.
