This is a very good crime thriller novel. If you like the genre, chances are you will like this book.

Solomon's sister has been hospitalised and is comatose. The police are convinced it was a suicide attempt, her other brother thinks it's was her abusive Ex. Only Soloman thinks something else has happened here.

The bug is Solomon hasn't left his apartment for years and the thought of doing so fills him with dread, also his brother Luke is a wanted criminal who the police would rather catch ,instead of investigating the circumstances around Tiffany's incident.

Solomon must rally his genius and confront his insecurities to force justice back on course.

Now I really liked this book, and read it almost cover to cover in one sitting. Why then only 4 stars?

Solomon, and the genius he hides behind his disfigurement and how events force him out of his comfort zone,is relatable and intriguing. I found Solomon to be a incredibly well written character and was engrossed in the story because of how he was presented in the first extract before I even read the whole book!
Unfortunately, possibly because he is so brilliantly crafted, some of the other characters can seem a bit blunt or irrelevant at times.
I thought that the image of Fox as the uncaring career detective was overplayed and overly reinforced, but I liked it when the tables all turned at the end.

Like-wise I thought that Luke was a bit too stereotyped and ,until the clues fit together, I was lamenting the lack of detail on the killer and his victims(which once I'd read the book I could understand the reasoning behind the mystery and tantalisingly short sections of information) It's just a bit of a different format, giving you some information, but not necessarily in the best way imo.

But really this was a great read, the plot and characters worked well and Solomon the recluse and his group of quiz-setters as well as the genuine feelings and craftmanship you could sense made me enjoy the book all the more.

Yes their some room for improvement and the ending seems a little rushed, but there's some great twists along the way and I'm pleased to have read this .

TLDR: great main character, good plot, some twists and genuinely had me puzzled at times.Liked how it all was revealed together for the reader and the books characters.
The "bad guys" seemed a little forced.
I enjoyed it
