An easy to read tale that kept me captivated from start to finish!
The blerb gives us an idea of what to expect, but only an idea. This sounds like a story about betrayal and revenge, which it is, and is written in a gorgeous style of prose that keeps the reader hooked from the first page with a seemingly limitless ease.
But that’s not all this story is about. We see the Main Character progress through various stages, and her personality comes to light quickly. She is hurting, and embarassed, and mad. She feeds all of this into jer need for revenege, and at times the tale is humourous and others suspenseful because of it.
But we also find that revenge is damaging to anyone involved, and as such this is an invaluable book. It caltures this war within human nature perfectly, between wanting revenge and wanting to be a better person, and highlighting just how much trohble revenge can cause.
These are issues that are a constant part of humanities history, and have been captured perfectly in this story.
I loved every page of this story, and can’t wait to see what else we find from the Author.
