I am not a fan of DNF-ing (Did Not Finish) a book so I persevered with this one for as long as I could but, as with all books that I have forced myself to finish, I feel resentment for wasting time that could have been spent enjoying something else.

I was originally attracted to this book by its synopsis as I don't think I have ever read a book about a man getting his comeuppance at the hands of the woman he scorned, although I have watched movies about it.

Sadly, while I found the style of writing in and of itself to be enjoyable, I just thought the overall plot wasn't great. Rather than having an intelligent woman get the justice owed to her, I feel it simply perpetuated the "hysterical ex" cliche and that's a firm "nope" to me.
