I am surprised that I haven’t come across books by Jaqueline Ward before and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for her books in the future.
I did wonder from the blurb if everything would be as it seemed with this book but Caroline is indeed a woman not only scorned but burned to the ground and lost everything all thanks to the man she once loved. Rich and charming Jack has won every battle despite being in the wrong and Caroline’s hatred for him is pallable and understandable.
With the opportunity quite literally delivered to her door to extract revenge on Jack too much to ignore I found myself really routing for Caroline as the book drew to a close. It highlighted to me too, how social media has made it possible to quite literally destroy a person at the click of a button. At times a dark and uncomfortable read but brilliant all the same. A great read!
