Definitely Better than Expected
The cover and the blurb didn't grab me, and I found it a bit hard to focus on the first part of the book but by the end of the extract I was sold. The first impression gives you a solid idea of the world of Piranesi and generates plenty of questions to be answered in the later chapters.
The premise is intriguing and the writing definitely pulls you into wonder where the story is going. A pleasant surprise from something that I wouldn't normally go for!
I'm not a huge fan of the cover, however the relevance of the image could become more apparent in later chapters.
