Wow, what an interesting start to a book. I wasn't sure if I would like it, as it's not my first choice of reading material genre, but it drew me in. I'm intrigued. Where is Piranes? Is he a human? Is he on planet earth? Who is the Other? And who are the other dead people that Piranes has found? The book seems like a cross between Alice in Wonderland and The Chronicles of Narnia at first. With a hint of Terry Pratchett thrown in for good measure. Best read through a slight haze of alcohol, I feel!
