That was... disappointing. The idea was there but the depth wasn't. After the epic of Jonathan Strange I had high hopes I guess, but how much can a barely 250 page book deliver. There is definite weirdness in a House of Leaves way, but that book disappointed me as much as this one, thankfully this was a much easier/quicker to read. Has the feel of a book which has been left unfinished for many years then rushed out due to publisher pressure to get something out there.
