First of all, I really love the way that this book has been written; it is refreshingly different, intricately detailed, dreamlike and lyrical. It is easy to get drawn in and lost amongst the words.
Secondly: who is Piranesi? Is he a man? Is he a god? He lives in a world of just him and the Other, surrounded by the ghosts and bones of the past. He speaks directly to the reader, like an intimate conversation, drawing you further into his fantastical existence.
Lastly, the cover is gorgeous. A mythical, otherworldly design to further intrigue and entrance the reader.
