This drew me in straight away. I wasn't sure what to expect but I loved the first impression. The world building is detailed enough to allow you to create and image in your head but keeps things back to create an air of mystery and intrigue. The same goes for the plot - we know that Piranesi and The Other are looking to discover the Knowledge but we don't know why, what it will be or what they will uncover on the way.
I'm already asking questions about what might come next and can't wait to read this book!
