Not too sure about this one
I've heard really good things about Susanna Clark so I was thrilled to have the chance to experience her writing in the first look but I'm not too sure this novel is for me.
The writing style I found to be quite strict and not as flowing as I would like which is a shame as the synopsis makes it sound like a book I would be dying to read.
The narrative comes across as a kind of diary. First person dialogues are already not my favourite but paired with the diary setting and the language I didn't really click with it.
