I was first introduced to Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by my dear friend. They were so eager over this book that I simply had to read it! I went out and bought it, and I fell in love with the first page. I profusely thanked my friend for this recommendation and stashed the book away onto my favorite bookshelf.
So I suppose you can imagine my delight when my friend rang to tell me about Piranesi, by the very same author. My eyes widened and I immediately went out into the pouring rain to go buy it! It was worth it to go to such lengths, I simply could not wait! I sat down and got sucked into the world of Piranesi and the Other. I was expecting this book to measure up to Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, but not by this much! I am absolutely in love love love with this book and I recommend with all my heart and soul. I rate it ten thousand stars over the meagre five.
