Charming and sensational
The incredible writing and elegant narrative just sweeps you straight into Piranesi leaving you wanting more. I loved Clarke’s previous novel and have been desperate for more, here we have another example of her expert use of structure, storytelling and sensational characters.
The world building from the start is infused with complex language, leaving me breathless as we are swept into the plot. I found myself wanting to know more, the frantic pace not stopping as we learn about this world shes created.
I find myself intrigued by the narrator never truly knowing who they are and I am desperate to learn more about him/them, the world and the other.
