Wow, this book is brilliant.

While everything feels very unfamiliar and strange at the start it’s not overly confusing - you just want to find out more!

Clarke’s writing is enchanting and the voice of Piranesi feels so unique. While he’s placed in a very odd scenario he feels very human, it’s wonderful to see his thought processes as he makes sense of the very odd environment he finds himself in.

You get the sense that the narrator is very unreliable, there are inconsistencies and clues set out right from the beginning which are sure to come together. In a very disconnected work everything somehow feels very connected.

Already there’s so much to think about, trying to put the puzzle pieces together really stretches your mind.

The cover is beautiful as well, it really evokes a feeling of classical mythology. I wonder if this is another clue to the direction this book will take!
