The depth and poetic form has been masterfully structured. The persona of the writer shows all the human traits, love, loss, curiosity and humour. You need to let your mind flow along with the concept and accept the unusualness and embrace the mystical elements that are infinite throughout. The tale begins by beautifully describing the house and you get the impression immediately of the vastness of the house by the descriptions of the various halls and the levels appear to almost represent the planes of hell, earth and heaven. The bizarre following of the statement that there are only fifteen people in existence and only two alive, the writer referred to as myself and the other, literally referred to as ‘the other’. Humour is subtle but has enough presence to make you smile. Then there is the folded up child, surrounded by sense of loss without truly knowing who she is or what she represents. The boldness of the sixteenth person, being you, the reader, just makes the whole thing seem personal to yourself, adore the weirdness and stretching of my imagination muscles is always welcome.
