This isn't usually the style of book I would go for, however the small piece I read actually looks very interesting, and the style of writing is actually I style I enjoy a lot. I also like the cover, the font and imagery (with the colouring also) makes it look like an older style book, rather than modern which I like, as I am a huge fan of classic literature and old style stories, such as Lord of the rings.
It seemed a little bit wordy at first, sometimes overly descriptive, but once you get into it it's actually quite an easy read to get into, although it does take a little while before you can fully get into the swing of it.
Overall I think it looks really interesting and different from what I usually read, but I am still really looking forward to reading it, and seeing how to story and the characters develop as the novel goes on. It's good to sometimes go out of your comfort zones with book genres!
