This is an amusing book written in diary format as the single mother of a teenager and a pre-schooler.
As the mother of four under fives in my younger days, I can empathise with many of the situations she describes and admire the wit with which she writes.
However there the similarities end - there was no social media when I was a young mum and I don't drink alcohol and hate Jaffa cakes!
This is more a collection of blogs than a book and doesn't need a great deal of concentration to follow the plot. Probably most suitable for a busy person to read in short chunks rather than a serious reader who likes to devour books all at once.
I feel the diary format with a daily summary preceding the detail a la Bridget Jones and Adrian Mole is now getting a bit dated.
