This book is based on a year long diary from January to December written by single mum Frankie. With Flo, 14 and Jess, 3, she talks about the day to day life of dealing with the 2 girls. From the mundane tasks of going to the shops to get food for lunch and Jess having a major tantrum, to the joys of family holidays and eating jaffa cakes.
This witty and entertaining story is at times sad and emotional. On other occasions made me laugh out loud when Frankie described some of the things a typical 3 year old would say!
Frankie makes a couple of friends as a breakaway group from the 'perfect mummy' group and they consume a lot of prosecco! She also tries Tinder and meets some interesting characters.
I really enjoyed this book and there were so many moments which I could relate to having young kids.
