Playgroups and Prosecco is a great book, loads of fun to read and just perfect for relaxing with, of course, a glass of Prosecco in your hand. Jo Middleton writes such enjoyable, light-hearted books. The main character, Frankie, has two children, a teenager and a toddler, and the author writes knowingly about the day to day life of a mother with all the ups and downs, tantrums and tears and lots of laughter. Frankie, Sierra and Lou attend the same playgroup with their children and strike up a friendship based on a similar outlook in life. As a single mother Frankie works part-time and her life is a bit of a juggling act plus she's ready to start dating again, not easy with two children. Many readers will identify in some way with these characters and enjoy this easy to read, extremely enjoyable book about a year in Frankie's life.
