Not a genre of book I would usually choose but I'm so glad I won a copy. The writing was wonderfully inviting, it felt more like having a chat with your best friend than reading a book and the diary style of writing made this instantly readable. The 'plot' was more like a diary but there were definite themes of discovering ones own strengths through challenges along with all the mishaps that happen on the way. I had real empathy for Frankie, having 2 children of my own a lot of the narrative was easy to relate with and had me laughing out loud at my desk. The main characters are rich but I would have liked to see some more development of the side characters as they played quite a role in Frankie's life. Overall a good read and a must for parents
