I’ve not actually read a book like this before - none of the popular single mum adventure stories so this was my way in! I have to say that I found it rather funny! Whilst the main character wasn’t relatable, there were some parts that made me smile and agree. The children were a delight to read about and were included in the story exactly the right amount. The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because I found it a little bit repetitive. I think I would have preferred chapters or different perspectives perhaps to break the story up a bit because it did get a bit boring towards the end as I felt like the character had worn herself out a bit. Overall though four stars altogether.
