When I first read the preview for “Playgroups And Prosecco” I thought this would be a book that I could really enjoy within the contemporary genre.

This book had a really good idea behind it and some themes that are very relatable to a lot of people including: struggles with weight, single parenthood and balancing life.

This book does contain some good sections but it just left me feeling meh. The plot ends up being very predictable, the book is written in a diary format of every day in the space of a year and it almost feels like the author found a formula and just kind of copied that throughout the book and it originality faded fast. The main character came across very weak and lost and showed no adaptation or growth and became very irritating if honest.
