I love the build up the author creates in the first few chapters. We are introduced to the main characters and to their personalities and the story continues to evolve as the chapters go on. I love that that there is a dark twist and i'm intrigued to read more to find out what will happen. Even though there is a beautiful front cover, I probably would not have picked this up off the shelf. But having read this first impression, I should expose myself to different themes and genres; as I know I would thoroughly enjoy this dark retelling of a beloved classic fairytale.
