Can't wait to read more!
That beginning section was just fantastic from the point of view of the dead woodsman; it showed that we were really in for a different sort of book. I love the idea of there being a villain other than the queen (I don't know who it is yet!) and it's really hooked me. I love retellings and this one seems so original, and different. Sophie's heart IS actually cut out, at some point. But does she die? I have so many questions: the writing has drawn me in. The title and cover are fantastic as well, this is exactly the kind of book I love to read and think we should see more of! The shattered red apple/heart against the black background is so striking.
