I like retellings of fairy tales, especially when they're dark as it's probably closer to what the Grimm's tales were like in the beginning anyway. I'm not sure how I'm feeling about this one. It seems really intriguing, I don't know who "he" is yet, but I'm also not sure if I'm really sucked into the story itself. More like, just tell me who "he" is and I'll be on my way. I do really appreciate the depth they're giving to Sophia (Snow White) as most of the Disney original was just her cleaning a cottage and sleeping. I would be interested in getting to know her better.
