At the start I really didn’t think this would be for me as the descriptions seemed quite gory; however I was hooked and really wanted to read on to see how the princess death came about. I think the repetition of the question who is the real villain suggests that, whilst this appears to be a rewrite of the classic Snow White story there is going to be an unexpected twist which would make you want to read on. Already i felt the characters depiction was good and felt warmth for Sophie and even felt sorry for the queen.
