I am a huge fan of fairytale and mythological retellings, and this book appears to be exactly what I was looking for! The writing style, from what I have read, reminds me of Madeline Miller, my favourite author. If this wasn’t enough, the idea of an inventive retelling of a fairytale can be likened to Marissa Meyer’s hugely popular stories. The prologue being from the huntsman’s point of view, and showing Snow White’s murder was instantly gripping, and it was clever to invoke the story of the character in the fairytale who is often overlooked. I like it when a book begins with the ‘ending’, and the reader is taken on a journey to discover how the events of the story led to it. Overall, I am very excited to read this book!
